With prime farming land all around us and a host of specialist growers and producers making the most of it, we usually have access to plenty of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, as well as quality meats and cheeses. So while we can't guarantee that every ingredient we use was raised on our doorstep, we certainly do our best to bring you the cream of the local crop.
The Walled Garden Bistro occupies the site of what was originally Barton Grange's kitchen vegetable plot. We felt that the garden with it's mellow brick walls and pergola would make a good foundation for our bistro - and we liked the idea of retaining it's culinary purpose - so we covered it with a roof and filled it with tables and chairs. Diners can now relax over their meals in the conservatory, enjoy semi-private dining in the summer house - or even gather around the sink in the old wash house, should they choose!

Suppliers to the Barton Grange are a crucial factor in the success of our menus, ensuring excellence of food for our guests dining in the Grill Room.
We pride ourselves on securing as much locally produced ingredients as possible, with one particularly significant meat product,
Other meat suppliers include Honeywells of Garstang again keeping the very local connection with suppliers to ensure top quality and very few “air miles”!
Humble beginnings for Honeywell Meats.Established in 1970 by the Gornall family, Honeywell’s has grown from strength to strength, but ever remaining the traditional family business that we have always been with over 10 family members still highly involved in all aspects of the business. The Honeywell’s you know today came from very humble beginnings, with Fran and Doris Gornall taking the first step and lauching into business, selling our hand reared pork from a stall in the garage! As we grew in popularity, Honeywell’s moved from the garage to the barn, where we set up Honeywell’s, one of the original Farm Shops. We branched out into selling our neighbours, The Thornton family’s Lamb, which we still stock today aswell as Pork, Chicken, Sausages and home cured bacon and much more! This is where Honeywell`s remained for over 30 years.
You can now buy and see this meat being prepared at Barton Grange Garden Centre only 2 miles away from the hotel
