Barton Suite
In 2007, The Barton Suite had a major refurbishment, the new separate entrance was created and the foyer, cloakroom and toilets were refurbished. The suite itself was totally redecorated with new soft furnishings and improved lighting also new furniture was purchased including ‘eight hour’ chairs promising improved comfort for delegates.
The new Barton Suite has a ground floor level entrance for wheelchair access. There is dedicated disabled parking close to the hotel entrance and a disabled toilet on the ground floor.
The main conference suite is equipped with the very latest audio-visual equipment, with innovative ceiling-mounted screens and LCD projectors, and a brand new sound system together with a hearing loop. Our Conference Manager has been given full training in the Audio-Visual systems and equipment and is now able to provide full support to clients wishing to use this facility, eliminating the need to bring your own AV technician or pay to hire one.
The Suite has fully controllable heating, lighting and air-conditioning, together with plenty of natural daylight or blackout facilities if you prefer.
Hi-Speed Wireless Internet access is available complimentary throughout the meeting rooms.
For smaller meetings, the Suite is easily divided into four self contained rooms by using sound-proofed movable walls, with Room C benefiting from 2 adjoining syndicate rooms.
The new suite has been very well received and has generated very positive feedback – ‘excellent venue and facilities, the conference room couldn’t have been improved in my view’ (NHS); ‘this is one of the best venues we have used for a client seminar’ (Nat West)
Meeting Room 4 and 5
Meeting Room 4 lends itself to being set up in a traditional Boardroom style, seating upto 16 around one long central table. Benefiting from air conditioning, adjustable lighting and heating, natural daylight and blackout facilities.
Meeting Room 5 is an ideal place for those occasions when you need a quiet, uninterrupted meeting as it is situated away from our main Conference area (you can even break for coffee on the patio, if the weather allows). Although this room is on the ground floor, it’s located via the first floor of the hotel (disabled access can be arranged)
