Barton Grange wins Business of the Year Award

The family run Barton Grange Group has been named Business of the Year at an awards dinner hosted by the North West Society of Chartered Accountants.

The annual NWSCA business awards are held to celebrate and acknowledge the contribution that businesses make to the stability of the local economy and the creation of jobs in the region.

As winners of the prestigious Business of the Year Award, Barton Grange was recognised as a business that has defied economic pessimism to display entrepreneurial ambition, sharp market focus, strong performance and a positive commitment to its customers.

The Barton Grange Group comprises two garden centres, at Brock and Bolton, the Barton Grange Hotel, Barton Grange Landscapes, three plant nurseries and Barton Grange Marina. The group employs over 600 staff, full and part-time, across the different companies.

Barton Grange Chairman, Eddie Topping, collected the award at the ceremony which took place at Ribby Hall in Wrea Green. He attended the event with his three sons, Peter, Ian and Guy Topping, who run the different companies within the group.
